Sicilian taste We had the pleasure of having Siciliantaste at Melanina. It was a variety of local Sicilian products, from olive oils, pestos, sweet preserves to wines and liqueurs. All products come from local, small businesses. Their high quality was felt. The two lovely ladies talked with passion about the process of making and the history of these specialties. It was a very nice experience. We bought, among other things pistachio pesto and made delicious Sicilian spaghetti with it. For sure we will visit the place again next time we are in Giardini Naxos♡

Pasta mit den Händen formen Wir waren zu zwei Paaren dort. Das Herstellen von Makaroni unter fachkundiger Weisung von Emilia war ein tolles Erlebnis. Handwerkliches Erstellen von Pasta ist leichter als gedacht und eine tolle Erfahrung. Die Verkostung rundete den Kurs ab. Danke an das Team, war ein super Abend.

Highlight of our Sicily trip We did this tasting during the later evening session with wine. The products were out of this world! We have tried Sicilian artisanal products in other shops on our trip, but nothing came close to Melanina's curated collection of truly local olive oils, pastes, jams, etc. You can feel how much love went into making every product, and Melanina does a fantastic job relaying that heart from the maker to you. Also, it's an incredibly convention one-stop shop for foodie things to bring home! Street parking nearby was free and easy. Driving here was a breeze too, seaside with no crazy big city traffic or mountain town tourist chaos.

Viaggio alla scoperta dei sapori e colori della Sicilia Un piacevole excursus tra i sapori, colori e profumi della tradizione siciliana. Il tutto accompagnato da ottimo vino o birra artigianale a scelta. La location stessa, sapientemente arredata con esposizioni di quadri di artisti locali, completa l’esperienza. L’unico consiglio è quello di presentarsi con un discreto appetito per poter godere a pieno i vari assaggi, abbondanti e sostanziosi.

Ein unerwartetes Erlebnis Durch Zufall entdeckte ich dieses Geschaeft und wurde neugierig. Nicht wie in vielen Laeden sind die Vetrinen voll, dass man erschlagen wird, sondern die Produkte sind sehr schoen exponiert. Das Geschaeft, wie uns erzaehlt wurde, war ein ehemaliges Juweliergeschaeft. Da der Charakter erhalten bleiben sollte, renovierte und restaurierte Rosalba es mit viel Liebe und hier trifft das Moderne auf den Geist der Zeit. Das Geschaeft unterstuetzt junge Produzenten aus dert naehern Region. Eine Spezialitaet wie die Andere sind nicht nur etwas fuer den Gaumen, sondern auch fuer das Auge. Ich hatte das Glueck an einer Degustation typischer sizilianischer Produkte teilnehmen zu koennen. Es begann mit einer Olivenoel verkostung. 4 verschiedene sehr hochwertige Olivenoele, die sich auch im Geschmack komplett von einander unterscheiden wurden gekostet. Dannach wurde ein Getraenk angeboten, man konnte man zwischen verschiedenen Weinen oder auf Sizilien gebrauten Bieren waehlen. Dazu wurden Bruschette mit verschiedenen herzhaften Aufstrichen gereicht, zudem ausserdem auch Confits oder Gelee, die in der Regel bestens zu Kaese passen. Weiter ging es mit Bruschetta mit suessem Aufstrich. Cremes aus Mandeln oder Pistazien, sowie Honig oder Marmelade. Dazu gab es als Abschluss noch einen Likoer und wer wollte einen Kaffee. Alles Produkte die wir verkostet haben sind sehr hochwertig. Begleitet wurde diese wunderschoene kulinarische Reise durch Sizilien von Marzia, die charmant, die Herkunft und Eigenschaften der Produkte erklaerte. Vielen Dank fuer dieses schoene Erlebnis sage ich an Rosalba und Marzia.

Super expérience Dégustation de plusieurs produits : huile d’olive, dips sucrés : miel, crèmes de pistache, amandes, noisettes…, dips salés : pesto de pistache, confit de tomate, caponata …, et de vin, liqueurs… Bref une très large dégustation qui donne envie de tout acheter. Ça a duré un peu plus d’une heure pour seulement 15€ par personne. La vendeuse était charmante. On est sorti avec tout un tas de pots à ramener et à offrir…

Schöner Laden Wir haben Sicilian Tasting mit gemacht, oder besser gesagt miterlebt, es war prima gemacht. tolle hochwertige sizilianische Produkte probiert, leider haben wir unser Portmonee zu Hause vergessen, weil wir spät dran waren und konnten nur eine kleinigkeit kaufen (ein wenig peinlich). Das war sehr schönes Erlebniss.. sehr zu empfehlen. Danke Marzia

A very nice tasting Upon entering a small Shop in the search for some limoncello we found a very welcoming lady that invited us to try out some of their products they collect all over sicily. We got to try different olive oils, some wine and loads of tasty bruschette, with all kinds of different toppings. While we were enjoying the food and the drinks another lady called Marzia told us all about the products and their origin.
